April 21, 1998

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Board of Regents met on April 21, 1998, at 9:05 a.m. (EDT) at the Wyndham Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky. Acting Chair Read presided and noted that the news media had been notified.

ROLL CALL The following members were present: Cynthia Read, Donna Davis,
Bobby McCool, John Banks, Jack Hanel, Diana Lutz, Lorna Littrell, Mark Powell, Marvin Russow, Cindy Fiorella and Richard Bean. Also present were Nelson Grote, Jack Moreland, and Bryan Armstrong.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Board went into executive session at 9:10 a.m. for the purpose of individual personnel matters.

The Board came out of executive session at 12:10 p.m. and joined the constituency group and presidential candidate James Ramsey.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Board reconvened at 1:30 p.m. and immediately went into executive session.

The Board emerged from executive session at 6:04 p.m.

PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES

MOTION: Mr. Russow moved, seconded by Ms. Fiorella, that in accordance with KRS 164.581, the Board instruct the Presidential Search Committee to bring forward the names of three additional presidential candidates.

VOTE: The motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.

ADJOURNMENT

The Board adjourned at 6:08 p.m.
