Frankfort, KY: Governor Ernie Fletcher announced today that Darrell D. Brock, Jr. will serve as the Fletcher/Pence Administration's Acting Commissioner for the Department for Local Government. Since 2000, Brock has worked as a Senior Executive for Total Interior Systems, a Toyota Group Company located in Evansville, Indiana and previously worked for Johnson Controls in Georgetown.
"I am proud to be a member of the Fletcher/Pence Administration and
look forward to implementing Governor Fletcher's vision
for Kentucky," said Brock. "My goal is to bring
added efficiencies that allow the Department for Local Government
to better serve all local elected officials. Additionally,
our objective will be to ensure that tax dollars are invested
strategically so that we grow our economy in Kentucky. This
Administration clearly recognizes the importance of our
County and City officials and we look forward to hearing
their ideas."
Darrell Brock, Jr. is a native of Bell County and presently resides in Henderson. He is an active member of the Chambers of Commerce in Henderson, KY and Evansville, IN, where he focused on economic development, small business development and community marketing.
"Darrell brings with him an extensive background in starting and growing businesses and in improving the efficiency of organizations, which will serve Kentucky well into the future," said Governor Fletcher.
