Celebration of Hope
The “Celebration of Hope” is an annual event that was established in 1996 to pay tribute to the courageous women who have fought and continue to fight the battle of breast cancer. Additionally, this gathering of ladies serves to promote awareness of the fact that breast cancer is the most common form of cancer and the second leading cause of death among women -- both nationally and in Kentucky.
Sponsored by the Kentucky Cancer Program and The Kentucky Breast Cancer Coalition, this occasion has become so important that women from all corners of the Commonwealth travel across the state to join the celebration. This annual event gives women the opportunity to share their stories of survival; some heartbreaking and some uplifting.
So please join us on Monday, May 1, 2006, for a day of camaraderie and tribute to the lives of hundreds of women across the Commonwealth of Kentucky who will gather for this year’s “Celebration of Hope.”
