Mobilization
Governor Ernie Fletcher and Adjutant General Donald C. Storm
spoke with troops from the Kentucky National Guard Friday morning,
September 2, as they prepared to travel to the flood-ravaged areas
of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana to assist in Hurricane Katrina
relief efforts. The convoy is commanded by Major Ruth Graves and
included 150 National Guard soldiers who will serve as a truck
company in support of the recovery mission, transporting essential
