Statement below from Communications Director Doug Hogan

"Governor Ernie Fletcher will officially sign the call for an extraordinary legislative session on Monday.  The extraordinary session will begin Tuesday afternoon.  The governor wanted to issue the call personally on Monday.

Although the call will not be issued until the day before the special session on Public Employee Health Insurance Plans, Governor Fletcher announced his intentions two weeks ago.  This announcement gave members of the House and Senate the opportunity to make preparations for the special session and start developing bipartisan solutions to the health insurance crisis inherited by the Governor.

The Governor's Office of General Counsel is still finalizing the call.

Any media availability involving the Governor on Monday will be announced Monday."
