Monday, June 19, 2006 Governor Ernie Fletcher was joined by state and local officials in Cannonsburg today to break ground on a $34.3 million project to improve a major interchange in Boyd County. Motorists traveling near the I-64/KY 180 will notice major improvements to the busy intersection in the near future.
- Alltech to Sponsor 2010 FEI Games™ in Kentucky
Monday, June 19, 2006 Governor Ernie Fletcher and Alltech president and founder Dr. Pearse Lyons announced that Alltech will be the title sponsor of the 2010 FEI GamesTM in Kentucky. The games, which will officially be known as the Alltech FEI GamesTM Kentucky 2010, are the world equestrian championships of the eight disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).

- Governor Fletcher Awards Funding for Augusta and Germantown
Tuesday, June 13, 2006 Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Governor's Office for Local Development (GOLD) visited the city of Augusta to announce a $438,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the city and a $400,000 Community Economic Growth Grant (CEGG) for the city of Germantown. The CDBG funding will be used for a new community center. The CEGG funding will be used for the Germantown Sewer Project.

Monday, June 12, 2006 Governor Ernie Fletcher joined company and local officials today to celebrate the grand opening of New Mather Metals, Inc.'s most recent expansion in Simpson County. The significant expansion of its facility in the Sanders Industrial Park will add nearly 93 new jobs and represents an additional investment of $29 million in the commonwealth.

Friday, June 09, 2006 Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) are working to improve the highway network in Kenton County by awarding a construction contract totaling $14.4 million for the KY 1072 Highland Pike Extension project.

Announced by Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development Sandy K. Baruah, the award recognizes Kentucky's Prescription for Innovation as a national leader in innovative strategies for economic development.

Thursday, May 25, 2006 Governor Ernie Fletcher and Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert joined Murray and Calloway County legislators and officials today to break ground on three sections of KY 80 between Murray and Mayfield.
- Governor Ernie Fletcher Visits Tamarlane Industries in Ohio County
Thursday, May 25, 2006 Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Governor's Office for Local Development (GOLD) announced today a $1 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Ohio County. Funding will be used for the Tamarlane Industries Building Renovation Project. Governor Fletcher toured Tamarlane to meet with workers as well as to announce a new project for the city of Beaver Dam.
- Governor Fletcher, Transportation Officials Break Ground on Christian County Parkway Extension
Thursday, May 25, 2006 Governor Ernie Fletcher and Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert joined area legislators and county officials in Hopkinsville today to break ground on the first phase of extending the Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway from U.S. 41-A to Interstate 24.
