Commissioner Darrell D. Brock, Jr. to Serve as Special Advisor to the Governor for Public Policy
Frankfort, KY ā Governor Ernie Fletcher announced today that Department for Local Government (DLG) Commissioner Darrell D. Brock, Jr. will also serve as Special Advisor to the Governor for public policy.
In making the announcement Governor Fletcher said, "I am pleased that Darrell has agreed to assume the very important role of public policy advisor. Iām confident that his experience and proven leadership will serve Kentucky well.ā
Before joining state government as commissioner of DLG, Brock worked as a Senior Executive for Total Interior Systems, a Toyota Group Company located in Evansville, Indiana and previously worked for Johnson Controls in Georgetown.
"I am honored that Gov. Fletcher has requested that I work in the dual capacity of assuming the role of Special Advisor for Public Policy as well as continuing my responsibilities as Commissioner of DLG. It reflects positively on my staff at the Department for Local Government and what we have been able to achieve since the Fletcher Administration took office,ā said Commissioner Brock.
Commissioner Brock is a native of Bell County in southeastern Kentucky and presently resides in Henderson. Brock and his wife, Beth, along with their two children, Grace and Spencer, will relocate to Madison County after the school year ends.
