Governor Fletcher Selects Former Television News Executive
Frankfort, KY: Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed a former television news executive, Doug Hogan, as Executive Director of the Office of Public Affairs in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The Governor stated today, "Doug's background in the news media, will serve this administration well as Transportation Secretary Maxwell Bailey strives to restore credibility to a very important cabinet.ā
Hogan's 14-year career in television news includes jobs as a reporter, anchor and news manager in several cities including Bowling Green, Kentucky, Huntsville, Alabama and most recently Cincinnati, Ohio.
"I am excited about this opportunity,ā said Doug Hogan. "Our transportation system is a vital link between everything from economic development to education. Under the strong leadership of the Governor, Transportation Secretary Bailey and Deputy Secretary Dick Murgatroyd, Iām confident positive changes will be made to ensure our highway system becomes more efficient.ā
The Kentucky native has a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast News & Public Affairs from Western Kentucky University. He and his wife Lana have two children. The family currently lives in the Boone County city of Burlington.
