Nominations for Gubernatorial Appointments to the Commonwealth's University Boards of Regents and Trustees and Other Higher Education Boards are Currently Being Accepted.

              Frankfort, KY: Governor Ernie Fletcher announced that nominations for gubernatorial appointments to the Commonwealth's university boards of regents and trustees and other higher education boards are currently being accepted by his office.  The Governor's Postsecondary Education Nominating Committee will consider the following vacancies the end of May: two positions on each of the state's regional universities, Eastern Kentucky University, Kentucky State University, Morehead State University, Murray State University, Northern Kentucky State University, Western Kentucky University; 2 positions on the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees and the University of Louisville Board of Trustees; 1 position on the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents; 3 positions on the Council for Postsecondary Education; and 2 positions on the Higher Education Student Loan Corporation Board of Directors and Higher Education Assistance Authority.

             Even if you have applied for one of these positions during a previous Administration, you must reapply.  You are encouraged to submit an application through the Internet at this address: http://www.erniefletcher.com.  This form will provide comprehensive and uniform information to the Committee.
