Governor, First Lady celebrate Derby Day 2005

Governor Ernie Fletcher and First Lady Glenna Fletcher celebrated Derby Day at festivities in Frankfort and Louisville. The Fletchers welcomed hundreds of visitors to the Governor's Derby Breakfast Saturday morning before making their way to historic Churchill Downs. After the Derby, Governor Fletcher presented the winning trophy to owners Jerry and Ann Moss, trainer John Shirreffs and jockey Mike Smith. The winning horse, Giacomo, was raised at Mills Ridge Farm in Lexington.

Lexington, KY: Governor Fletcher presented the Rolex Trophy to Kim Severson, aboard Winsome Adante, at the Rolex Kentucky three-day event on Sunday, May 1, at the Kentucky Horse Park.
