Jenny Wiley State Resort

Jenny Wiley State Resort , located deep in the heart of the Appalachians, is accented by scenic 1,100-acre Dewey Lake. Enjoy a variety of activities, from Broadway shows in the Theatre, and hiking trails through the wilderness, to golfing amid mountain vistas. Named for a brave pioneer woman who survived Indian capture in the area, Jenny Wiley resort is known as a polished mountain retreat.

May Lodge

Experience the secluded beauty of the 49-room May Lodge, surrounded by towering pines and peaceful mountains. Browse the lodge gift shop, offering a large selection of Kentucky handcrafts and souvenirs.
Rooms are available by late afternoon, check-out by noon, Eastern time.
Living Room of Two-Bedroom CottageCottages
For private accommodations, enjoy a one or two-bedroom cottage. Tableware, cooking utensils, and linens are provided, with fresh linens available daily.
Cottages are available by late afternoon, check-out by 11:00 a.m.

Campground
Enjoy the great outdoors in the 117-site campground. Utility hookups, two central service buildings with showers and rest rooms, a grocery store, and a dump station are available for your convenience. Open April 1-October 31. Rates. Pets are allowed if restrained.Return to Top

Dining Room

You can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as delicious Kentucky cuisine in the May Lodge Dining Room. This 224-seat dining room serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Two private dining facilities are available to accommodate up to 70 people.

Meeting Rooms

The lodge contains two meeting rooms that each accommodate 125 guests. Audio-visual equipment is available. These meeting rooms are in addition to the meeting space in the Conference Center, described below.

Wilkinson/Stumbo Conference Center

Conference Center Set up for BanquetThis modern meeting facility is adjacent to the amphitheatre. The center may be divided into three separate meeting/banquet rooms to accommodate a total of 500-800 people, theater or banquet-style.

Performing Arts

Jenny Wiley is a showplace for the performing arts! The Jenny Wiley Theatre presents summer musicals in the parks amphitheatre. In 2004, "Wizard of Oz", "Big River", & "Driving Miss Daisy" are presented. The season runs June 6 through August 21. Tickets are around $15 adult; $13 senior; and $8 student. Performances begin at 8:15 pm. All performances, times and prices are subject to change without notice.

Water Sports

Boating
Fun-filled days await you on Dewey Lake! The boat dock offers 199 open slips, three launching ramps, and pontoon boat rental. $ for boat rental.

Group Canoe Trips
Have you ever thought about taking a canoe trip with your special group or business? Guided group canoe trips are offered at Jenny Wiley seasonally (March-November) on either Johns Creek or the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River. These trips are led by Ron Vanover, park naturalist. The cost is usually $10 per person. Costs can vary according to the desired trip and group size. The park can accommodate up to 14 persons per trip. Fishing
For "reel" excitement, Jenny wiley is the place to be! Dewey Lake has largemouth and hybrid striped bass, bluegill, catfish, and crappie.

Swimming
The lodge pool is for the exclusive use of overnight guests. The Olympic-size community pool is a great place to meet friends during the summer.

Golf

Tee on Jenny Wiley Golf Course

Fore! Test your golfing skills on the nine-hole, regulation golf course. Take advantage of the fully-equipped pro shop with rental clubs, pull carts, and riding carts. Nine-hole course Golf packages are offered.

Nature Trails

Acquaint yourself with the natural beauty of Jenny Wiley State Resort on the hiking trails. The trails provide over ten miles of hiking for all ability levels.

Daily summer activities and year-round special events are planned for children and adults under the guidance of a trained recreation director.

Picnic tables, grills, and playgrounds are located throughout the park for the perfect family outing. Picnic shelters are located at the campground and sky lift.

$5 additional charge per lodge room on Friday and Saturday nights from April 4 - November 1, 2004, with the exception of the following holiday dates, during which the additional charge changes from $5 to $10 per lodge room. Holiday dates are May 23, 24, 25; July 4, 5, 6; and August 29, 30, 31, 2004.
