 
The Kentucky Tourism Development Loan Program has been put
in place to assist smaller tourism facilities obtain financing.
This program is targeted to facilities that will attract travelers
into an area in which they would not have normally traveled
or extend the stay of travelers in an area in which they have
planned travel.
Projects approved for funding thus far include a rock climbing
experience, an equine show facility, and a winery/restaurant
being constructed with an existing historic bed & breakfast.
Funds made available through this program are for the financing
of fixed assets only. The maximum loan amount is $250,000 with
an equal amount being provided by another source. The matching
funds can be made available by owner capital injection, conventional
financing, or similar resources.
The benefit of this program is below market interest rates.
The interest rate is based upon the term of the credit facility.
The maximum term is fifteen years. Rates range from 1 percent
to 6 percent.
