Frankfort, Ky. - Governor Paul Patton hits the road again with his "Patton to the People" bus tour starting on Tuesday, October 8, 1996. This time, the Governor, Judi Patton, Lt. Governor Steve Henry, and the cabinet secretaries head to Eastern Kentucky to hold a series of town meetings. (schedule follows)
"On our first bus tour through the western part of the state in August, people told us what they thought was right and wrong in Frankfort," the Governor said. "I expect the same healthy give-and-take when we tour the eastern counties because it's the best way to find out if we're doing a good job for the people. And we want the people of Kentucky to know where to turn when they need help."
The public is invited to come and talk with the Governor and state government leaders about issues that are important to them. At each town meeting, the Governor will make a short speech, followed by a question and answer session with the public. Individual cabinet and agency representatives will also be on hand to answer questions and discuss issues.
Still to come are bus tours in other regions of the state.
