Patton appoints first female judge to the 6^th Judicial District

FRANKFORT, KY. - Governor Paul Patton today appointed 30-year-old Lisa Ann Payne, of Owensboro, to the office of district judge for the 6^th Judicial District, which includes only Daviess County.

With Payne’s appointment, Governor Patton continues to improve the economic status of the women of Kentucky. To date, 42 percent of his administration’s judicial appointments have been women compared to 17 percent when he first took office six years ago.
