Education Summit Scheduled for July 30

Frankfort, KY –Governor Paul E. Patton, marking the halfway point of Kentucky’s elementary/secondary education reform efforts has called for an Education Summit.  The summit is planned for July 30, 2002, from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at the Kentucky History Center, in Frankfort. 

The Education Summit will provide invited statewide education stakeholders an opportunity to reflect on the past history of elementary/secondary education reform in Kentucky, to be updated on the current status, and to share information on the challenges ahead. 

Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m.  with the program beginning promptly at 8:15 a.m.
