KENTUCKY PUBLIC EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION WEEK
Kentucky Recognizes the Contributions and
Accomplishments of Public Employees
FRANKFORT, KY (October 7,2002) Today Governor Patton signed a proclamation designating October 6-12, 2002 as Kentucky Public Employee Recognition Week. This week is celebrated to educate citizens about the broad variety of services provided by government employees.
The week is also an opportunity to show appreciation to public employees at the federal, state, and local levels. Governor Patton will be participating in the celebration by sending an e-mail to all state employees thanking them for their hard work and dedication. Representatives from employee organizations and the Personnel Cabinet joined Governor Patton in the Capitol Rotunda today in support of Kentucky Public Employee Recognition Week.
