Media
coverage of Gov. Patton at National Governors meeting
FRANKFORT, KY - Governor Paul Patton
will be available to reporters during the July 13 - 16 National Governors
Association’s Annual Meeting in Boise, Idaho where Patton will be named chair
of the organization.
The nation's governors will tackle
some of the most pressing public policy challenges facing the country during the
meeting. They will discuss strategies for attaining long-term economic
prosperity for their states, bolstering their counter-terrorism measures and
containing prescription drug costs.
Media who plan to cover
any aspect of the NGA Annual Meeting must have an official NGA 2002 press
credential. For those not attending but interested in video, audio or digital
photos, contact the Governor’s Press Office at 502-564-2611.
Media representatives must obtain
credentials and registration materials in person in the Waters Foyer
(outside Payette/Snake River Rooms). No registration fee is charged for media
representatives. All media representatives must wear NGA credentials to be
admitted to business sessions. A limited number of tickets to the Sunday and
Monday night social events are available for purchase at the Idaho Hospitality
Booth during the hours listed below. The News Media Headquarters is located in
the Snake River and Payette Rooms on the 1st Floor.
In order to pick up credentials,
media must present two forms of identification: one, such as a driver's license,
or other government-issued identification, that contains a photo and current
home address; AND current, valid press identification issued by federal, state,
or local government, or a letter from your editor/producer on letterhead from a
legitimate media outlet.
