Frankfort Arrangements for former Governor Edward T. “Ned” Breathitt

            A memorial service for Governor Edward T. “Ned” Breathitt will be held Friday in the Capitol rotunda from 11 to 11:30 a.m.    Prior to the service his body will lie in state from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. afterwards.   Burial will take place in Breathitt’s hometown of Hopkinsville on Saturday.   

            Earlier today, Governor Paul Patton asked that flags over state buildings be lowered to half-staff in Breathitt’s honor.
