Frankfort---Goblins,
witches and ghouls of all varieties are invited to descend upon the Executive
Mansion on Friday, October 31, from 6-8 p.m. for Trick-or-Treat.
First Lady Judi Patton will be on hand to welcome young and old alike and
distribute candy. "It has been my delight over these last eight years
to see the children of Frankfort in their wonderful costumes and I
hope they will come by to visit and pick up some delicious treats. We
truly enjoy this time of year, and try to make it a special holiday for the
children," Mrs. Patton said.
"This
has been a favorite time for me. It has given me the opportunity to talk
with the parents and to see how the children have grown over the year."
On display
also will be pumpkins, creatively carved by the Mansion chefs to celebrate the
holiday, and the Mansion's famed ghoulish music, decorations and the newly
discovered ghost of the mansion grounds.
Security will
be available on the drive in front of the Mansion to ensure the safety of
children on the street. Also for safety, treats will be packaged in
plastic bags and include a card with a greeting from the first lady.
